Faith Like Birds carries a conviction to give away what God has entrusted to us and to partner with churches, groups, and organizations that desire to see teenagers experience God and submit their lives to the lordship of Jesus. It is an absolute honor to travel and see young lives encounter God in life-transforming ways.
Gen Free is a customizable event that educates teenagers about rejection’s effects on their mental health and ministers to those effects through encounters with God’s love and a revelation of right identity.
Here is what you can expect from hosting Gen Free...

Teenagers feel seen and understood regarding their mental health issues

Teenagers become familiar with the correlation between experiences with rejection and what they believe about themselves, which largely affects their mental health

Teenagers discover that they are not alone in the fight for mental health and that many experiences with rejection are shared

Teenagers are given the opportunity to encounter God’s love and experience freedom from rejection and its effects

Teenagers are equipped to stand against the lies of rejection that have informed their identity and value

01
Encountering the Love of God
(Encounter Service)

Students will come to understand how experiences with rejection have impacted their mental health and choices through Brian’s own testimony and doctoral findings

Students will become familiar with God’s heart toward the marginalized and rejected in Scripture in an effort to build faith for an encounter

Students will have an opportunity to encounter the love of God that brings healing to the wounds of rejection through a time of prayerful ministry and the laying on of hands

Identity Institute
(Teaching Service)

Students will discover how experiences with rejection have shaped what they believe and think about themselves

Students will learn that the truth of their identity is found in who they are and why they are, as defined by God in the Scriptures

Students will be able to recognize the lies they believe and learn how to replace them with the truth of their identity and value as revealed through Christ

Becoming Gen Free
(Deliverance Service)

Students will discover how experiences with rejection and the lies they believe about themselves as a result contribute to such mental health disorders as depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal ideation through Brian’s testimony and doctoral findings

Students will come to see God’s heart in delivering people from various bondages in the Scriptures in an effort to build faith that they can be set free

Students will have an opportunity to receive prayer for deliverance and healing from what they cannot defeat in their own strength or willpower

Parent & Leadership Training

Parents and other leaders of the church to have their own Saturday afternoon session with Brian, where he will educate them on rejection’s effects upon teenage mental health through his doctoral findings, answer questions, and offer suggestions on how we can all seek to combat the mental health epidemic in young lives together

Gen Free Weekend

The above three or four options can be spread out over a Friday evening and Saturday morning and evening

Here are some helpful guidelines to consider as you submit this form:
1. The hosting church, group, or organization is welcome to cover airfare, gas, food, and lodging expenses but it would not be expected. Anything beyond this, such as an honorarium, is welcomed but not expected.
